Getting to the gym three days a week.

- What kind of feedback have you received from the publicity of being a participant in the program? Who have you influenced to lose weight?

Everywhere I go people recognize me and tell me to keep up the good work. I've received cards in the mail from people with inspirational quotes, etc. It's been great. A few people at work have really changed their eating habits because of the team leaders.

- What are your plans to stay on track and continue this new healthy lifestyle in the future?

We are paying for our personal trainer at Advantedge to continue the quality training that they provide. We have asked them to continue to weigh us and measure us, to keep us accountable and to see the improvement!

- Would you recommend this program to other people? Why?

Yes, most definitely. It has changed my life - the way I eat, the workouts that I can now do, how I feel physically and how I feel emotionally. I've got a long way to go, but I now feel like I can do it.

Kim Ronn of Superior Iron Range Community Federal Credit Union had these comments on the Healthy Weight Journal 6: Workplace Challenge program:

Why did you join the program? Change. Our workplace has our own weight loss group that has been meeting for the past three years. I was looking for nutrition advice as well as changes in my workout routine.

- Did you reach your goal?

No - I lost several inches as well as converted several pounds of body fat to muscle; however, did not reach my weight loss goal.

- How did you change your eating habits?

Started paying more attention to entire food labels, not just calories.

- What type of exercise routine did you participate in to aid in your weight loss?

Personal training two to three times per week as well as cardio an additional two to three times per week.

- What was the biggest obstacle to overcome?

Not to be discouraged by the scale.

- What kind of feedback have you received from the publicity of being a participant in the program?

Who have you influenced to lose weight? The public was very supportive and encouraging.

- What are your plans to stay on track and continue this new healthy lifestyle in the future?

I am continuing to attend personal training sessions two to three times per week at Advantedge Training as well as keep up with cardio workouts at least three days per week. I will continue to track my food intake daily by using a journal and continue to make better food choices.

- Would you recommend this program to other people? Why?

Definitely! This was a wonderful opportunity to get to work with a personal trainer as well as meeting with the dietician and getting to know others in the program.
