MARQUETTE - Michigan State Police troopers were expected to begin distributing posters to local businesses today in their continuing investigation into the Feb. 23 homicide of Robert Anthony Dusseau.
The posters show two composite sketches of male subjects police are looking for as "persons of interest" who were seen at the Quik Cash & Guns shop in Marquette Township around 5 p.m. the day Dusseau, 27, was shot and buried in a snowbank outside the business.
The posters also show photos of Dusseau's 2007 blue Pontiac Vibe hatchback, which was parked at about 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Birchwood Suites apartments, located in the 2400 block of Werner Street in Marquette Township. Surveillance camera footage showed a subject parking the car and walking from the area of Werner and Erickson streets.
During the homicide, a handgun, long gun and a Swann DVR recorder and 8-inch monitor were stolen from the business. Police said the motive remains unclear.
A reward being offered in the case has now reached $11,000. The most recent donation to the reward fund comes from CrimeStoppers. Tips may be provided anonymously by calling CrimeStoppers or sending an e-mail to a new address set up by police.
Det. Sgt. David Johnston of the Michigan State Police Negaunee post said the posters will be distributed at malls, stores and other businesses in the Marquette and Gwinn areas, with hopes the public will provide more tips on the case.
