Board of education OKs bond proposal request Monday; cash would pay for building upgrades, Phelps closure

ISHPEMING — The decision to issue bonds for renovations at the Birchview Elementary School — which would allow for the closure of the C.L. Phelps Middle School — will be put before voters in the May 4 election.
