Haiti relief team battles exhaustion

Editor's note: Pilot Stuart Sarasin of Marquette is sending e-mail updates on the efforts of the Marquette Haiti Relief Team. The team is comprised of local doctors and health care providers. Journal Staff Writer Claire Abent is compiling Sarasin's reports.

MARQUETTE - As the Marquette Haiti Relief Team continues their work in Les Cayes, Haiti, this week, people with injuries are still filing into the Hospital Immaculate Conception.

Day 3

The doctors and nurses have been adapting to the constantly changing conditions, including the availability of instruments and the pending exhaustion of the team, according to Sarasin. But he said it's the spirit of the Haitian people that helps to keep the work going.
