MARQUETTE CIRCUIT

Appearing before Judge Thomas L. Solka for arraignment on Oct. 30:

Jessica Lea Shumate, 33, of 101 TImber Lane in Marquette, pleaded guilty to one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, shoes, a four-year felony. As part of a plea agreement, one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, a 10-year felony, was dropped. The charges stem from a July 22 incident in Negaunee. Shumate is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 4.

Jeremy William Nutt, 31, of 6508 U.S. 41 South in Marquette, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a four-year felony. The charge stems from a March 14, 2008, incident in Marquette. Nutt is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 4.

Michael William Quinnell, 23, of 426 Jasper St. in Ishpeming, pleaded guilty to one count of delivery of marijuana, a four-year felony. As part of a plea agreement, an identical count was dropped. The charges stem from a June 9 incident in Ishpeming. Quinnell is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 4.

Dennis Michael Gilstorff, 35, of 175 McMaster Road in Skandia, pleaded no contest to one count of felonious driving, a two-year felony. As part of a plea agreement, one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious injury, a five-year felony, was dropped. The charges stem from a Sept. 19 incident in Skandia Township. Gilstorff is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 8.

Appearing before Judge Thomas L. Solka for sentencing on Oct. 30:

Eddie Owens, 36, of Marquette Branch Prison, was sentenced to six months to 2 1/2 years in prison and ordered to pay $128 in fines and costs. Owens pleaded guilty on Sept. 25 to one count of prisoner attempting to possess weapons, a 2 1/2-year felony. As part of a plea agreement, one count of prisoner possessing weapons, a five-year felony, was dropped. The charges stem from a July 14 incident in Marquette.

Isaac Jacob Trottier, 18, of 1620 1st Ave. South in Escanaba, was sentenced to 150 days in jail, with 99 days credited, and ordered to pay $328 in fines and costs. Trottier pleaded guilty on Sept. 25 to one count of possession of burglar's tools, a 10-year felony. As part of a plea agreement, one count of attempted breaking and entering a building with intent to commit larceny, a five-year felony, was dropped. The charges stem from an Aug. 4 incident in West Branch Township.

William Russell Moyle, 30, of 2216 1/2 Presque Isle Ave. in Marquette, was sentenced to 60 days in jail, which was deferred, and ordered to pay $881 in fines and costs. Moyle pleaded guilty on Sept. 29 to the following charges - one count of fourth-degree fleeing and eluding a police officer, a two-year felony; and one count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a 93-day misdemeanor. As part of a plea agreement, these charges were dropped - one count of second-degree fleeing and eluding a police officer, a 10-year felony; and one count of marijuana possession, a one-year high-court misdemeanor. The charges stem from a March 23 incident in Marquette.
