Lions shade Globe Printing

W.I.N. Girls League

In the Senior League, the Tri-Township Lions beat Globe Printing, 18-11. Mallory Pruett and Hannah Bertucci homer s for the winners.

For Globe Printing, Rachel Nicholas belted a grand slam and another home run, while Chandra Hintsala went 3-for-3.

Globe Printing outlasted the Lions in the second game of a doubleheader, 29-24. Danielle Perrault went 4-for-6 to support winning pitcher Mindy Harrington.

For the Lions, Pruett, Bertucci and Brooke Ranta hit home runs; Ella Bertucci a triple.

Globe Printing also defeated Mullins Service, 22-6, as Nicholas went 5-for-5 with a home run and a triple.

Teammate Katie Johns went 3-for-5 and Cassy Harsila added a triple. For Mullins, Morgan Blewett hit a triple and Cydnee McIntyre a double.

Women's Softball League

In Class A competition, Tina Nelson and Ann Wilder rapped out three hits each as Paisano's dumped PC Medic, 15-3. Rachel Dunn added two safeties for the winners.

For PC Medic, Emilee Rowe collected two hits and Jen Franssen hit a triple.

Jasper Ridge Brewery I beat I-Build Construction, 9-5, behind three hits each by LeAnn Saarela and Taylor Waters.

For I-Build, Annette Gleason had three hits and Collene Frobeg belted a home run.

Libby Nelson went 4-for-5 with a homer and Debbie Zummak added five hits - one a triple - to lead Buck's Party Store past Hickey's, 18-7.

Judy Morcom and Randi Boule recorded two safeties apiece for Hickey's.

Jean Kay's got four hits - two of them homers - from Brandi Logan in a 13-8 win over Jubilee Foods. Megan Hennekenn added three hits, including a circuit clout.

Sue Rice went 4-for-4 for Jubilee Foods.

TeePee Bar drubbed Republic Memorials, 21-6, behind a 4-for-4 (homer) plate performance by Nicole Christensen. Teammate Jen Villeneuve went 3-for-4 (two doubles).

Cathy Bertucci and Crystal Conradson collected two hits each for Republic Memorials.

Doghouse Pub drew a bye.

In Class B, both Maria Stanaway (two triples) and Rachel Marta (triple) went 3-for-3 to power Paradise Bar to a 13-12 win over Sister's.

Sandie Whitford went 3-for-5 to go with Cindy Hogan's two hits (triple) for the losers.

Jack's TeePee stopped Eastwood, 11-6, as both Christy Wernholm and Dina Yohe went 3-for-3. For Eastwood, both Nicole Briggs (double) and Ellen Sundberg produced three safeties.

Tino's 24 trimmed Tino's 2, 12-10, as Casey Rabenold went 3-for-4. Jessica Dobson hit a triple for Tino's 2.

Mary Ann Luoma, Brooke LeClair and Kris LaForge all had four hits as Country Lanes beat Pasquali's, 11-6. Jessica Shepich added three hits for the winners, while hurler Julie Miron struck out six.

For Pasquali's, Kaleigh Peterson went 3-for-4 and Frannie Kelly hit a triple.

Rookie's Too/Quality Car Care shelled Company B Graphics, 35-13, behind five hits by Connie Kontio, and four each by Julie Carlson and Michelle Kontio. Carlson knocked in four runs.

Greta Berg went 4-for-4 and Cherie Johnson 3-for-4 (homer, triple) for the vanquished. Michelle Gray added a pair of doubles.

Tera Bell went 5-for-6 (homer) and Becky Gauthier added a triple as Jasper Ridge Brewery 2 knocked off the Zephyr Store, 26-16.

Nicole Schultz belted two round trippers for the Store. Arica Altobello and Veronica Slone also hit homers.

In Class C, Oberstar beat Tino's 1, 16-7, behind three hits each by Francise Higgins (triple, homer) and Cindy Albright.

Brooke Bleckler (three) and Jen Peterson (two) combined for five hits for Tino's 1.

Liz Lenten went 5-for-5 (homer) and Erin Carlson 3-for-4 (homer) to pace Signs Unlimited to a 19-12 win over Chapper's Pub.

Mandy Carlson (homer) and Tanya Menard (triple, homer) went 3-for-4 for Chapper's.

Casino Bar toppled Rumorz Bar, 18-8, as Sarah Kroon (triple), Nichole Williams, Julie Collick (triple) and Heather Luokkala (homer) all collected three hits for the winners.

Ashley Asgaard (four) and Kristi Junak (two) combined for six hits for Rumorz.

Tony Jandron hit a two-run single to lead Dave's Collision/Strength & Fitness to a 7-2 win over Bjork & Zhulkie.

Barr's Bar bounced Needle & Thread, 19-3, behind a triple by Patty Sarvello. Sandy Hebert took the mound win.

Jill Wieciech went 4-for-4 (triple, double) and Hilary Richardson added three hits (homer) to lead Mather Nursing Center to a 6-5 victory over Rookie's 1.

Amber Billings slammed a home run and Jen Chapman added a double for Rookie's
