MUNISING - Becky I. Kee, age 56, of Onota St., Munising, died unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, June 7, 2009. She was born on Dec. 27, 1952, to the late Joe and Bridget (Ryan) Kee in Munising. Becky was a member of the William G. Mather graduating class of 1972. She loved to cook and enjoyed working as a cook at Munising Memorial Hospital for many years. Becky was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed collecting Irish memorabilia. She always looked forward to her monthly girls' night out and and always had fun planning what they would do. Family was important to her. Becky was a member of Sacred Heart Church and recently found great joy in reaffirming her faith. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, walking her "grand-dogs," the smell of fresh clothes on the line, teasing friends and family, and being teased by friends and family. You inevitably had a smile on your face and a chuckle in your heart when you spent time with Becky.

Becky is survived by her two children, Penny (Jeremy) Moore of Chatham and Ty (Erin Forbes) Nesberg of Munising; three grandchildren, Brittney, Riley and Cody Moore; siblings, Joe Kee of Grand Rapids, Mich., Karyn (Dick) Loring of Clearwater, Fla., Bridget (Andy) Melwiki of N.C., and Penny (George) Anderson of Munising; nieces and nephews, Brock, Ryan, Carmen, Shannon, Kelly, Kari, Katrina, Becca, Bridgie, Linda, Rick, Bart, Karen, Dan and Cyndi; aunt and uncle Jim and Della Kee; other nieces, nephews and cousins. Becky was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Wini Pothoff and Kay C. Kee.

Visitation will be held at the Bowerman Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. A Parish Vigil Service and time of sharing memories and stories will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home's chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 12:10 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Munising.
