Elise M. ‘Molly’ Beaudry
MARQUETTE - Elise M. "Molly" Beaudry, 62, of 121 Fisher St., Marquette, entered eternal life Thursday evening, May 21, 2009, in the Hospice Suite located at Marquette General Hospital. Molly was in the comforting care of her family and the caregivers of Lake Superior Hospice.
Molly was born July 24, 1946, in Heringen, Germany, the daughter of Carl and Anni (Walinski) Brooks. The young family came to the United States in August 1948, settling in Ypsilanti. It was there that Molly was raised and graduated from Willow Run High School in 1964. Following graduation, she worked in local restaurants. In 1965, Molly married James F. Clement in Hell, Mich., (the location a constant source of amusement for the family) and they resided in Ypsilanti before moving to Marquette in 1970. On December 23, 1975, James preceded her in death as the result of an automobile accident. Molly continued to work at various businesses, among them Carl's M-28 Market, as a hostess at Wahlstrom's Family Restaurant for many years, Mean Gene's Lakeside Inn in Sand River, the Cookie Cutter, and Angeli's Supermarket. On August 1, 1986, she married her best friend, Randy L. Beaudry, in Marquette. Molly later began a 17-year employment with MGH, first as a housekeeper and then as an instrument technician in central supply. She retired in January 2008. Molly possessed a kind and caring personality and her favorite pastime was sending greeting cards to anyone and everyone - for any reason. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed music, found pleasure in going to camp and fishing. Molly was also an avid collector, and her collections included dolls, bells, cookie jars and clocks.
Survivors include her husband, Randy; daughters, Shelly (Rick) Ferree of Vidalia, Ga., Carol (Rod) Clement of Marquette and Lori (fiancee Rob Wellman) Beaudry of Skandia; sons, Randy (Becky Vidlund) Beaudry of Marquette and Luke (Kaitlyn Armatti) Beaudry of Gwinn; her grandchildren, Ricky, Ashley, Sara, Andrea, Austin, Mallory, Alea, Nicholas, Kaiden and Jarad; her mother, Anni Brooks of Marquette; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends; and her canine companion, Missy. Molly was preceded in death by her father, Carl Brooks; first husband, James Clement; and an infant son, James Paul Clement.
