Multi-vehicle accident reported in Alger County

Michigan State Police troopers from the Munising post are investigating a multi-vehicle accident, with multiple injuries, which was reported to emergency dispatchers at 8:59 a.m. today from Alger County's AuTrain Township. Troopers said there were not any fatalities at the scene of the accident, which occurred near AuTrain along M-28, just west of the Pinewood Lodge. Traffic was temporarily stopped and slowed to one lane while Alger County EMS personnel worked to free crash victims from their vehicles. AuTrain Township Fire Department crews were also at the scene. (Journal photos by John Pepin)
