ATLANTIC MINE - An Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team drug bust in Atlantic Mine Friday has led to one arrest so far, with more potentially coming.
The Domestic Cannabis Eradication/Suppression Program spotted marijuana growing in a field by an Atlantic Mine residence during aerial sweeps of the Upper Peninsula conducted last week, said UPSET Detective Sgt. Ron Koski.
Marijuana, firearms, growing materials and other items were seized.
One woman was arrested for resisting/obstructing, while more warrants are pending, Koski said. The woman's name is being withheld pending her arraignment in 97th District Court, Koski said.
About 1,300 pounds of marijuana were seized in the U.P. overall during the operation.
Michigan State Police and the Houghton County Sheriff's Department deputies assisted in the operation.
