Wal-Mart recently presented a Local Community Grant to the Marquette Beautification and Restoration Committee Inc. to support the inaugural Garden Conference held Aug. 9 at Northern Michigan University. Nationally known gardener and meteorologist Rebecca Kolls presented the keynote address at the conference, which featured 15 different seminars on a variety of garden topics.
