James D. Ross
NEGAUNEE - James David Ross, 60, of Negaunee died unexpectedly Sunday evening, July 20, 2008, at Marquette General Hospital.
He was born August 8, 1947, in Munising, Mich., a son of the late Frank and Doris (Witman) Ross.
James was employed by General Motors in Flint in the Truck and Bus Department. Following his retirement in 2000, he moved to the Gwinn area.
He was an Army veteran. His interests included the outdoors, fishing, camping, bowling, playing cards, dogs, cats and making people laugh.
James is survived by two children, Jenny (Joe) Houston of Lansing and Jamie (Virginia Trudell) Ross of Negaunee; special friends, Nancy (John) Olchawa of Millington, Mich.; brothers, Duane (Patsy) Ross of Columbiaville and Frank (Dorothy) Ross of Trenary; sisters, Carol Ann Wright of Charlotte, N.C., and Glenda Ross of Gwinn; an expected grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dennis and Daryl Ross.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Reigle Funeral Home Sunset Chapel in Flushing, Mich. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the Reigle Funeral Home with visitation again being held for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery in Clio, Mich.
