Ruth Mary Bucklin

TRAVERSE CITY — Ruth Mary Bucklin, 94, of Traverse City, formerly of Marquette, died Thursday morning, February  21, 2008, at Munson Medical Center.


Ruth was born on July 17, 1913, in Marquette, the daughter of the late William and Nellie (Tierney) Williams.


She is survived by her loving family; son, Dr. Robert (Mary) Bucklin of Zephyrhills, Fla.; son, Richard (Sheila) Bucklin of Traverse City; and daughter, Susan (Thomas) Reid of Middletown, Md.; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bucklin; daughter, Mary Bucklin Kassel; and a grandson, Daniel Bucklin.


A funeral mass will be offered at St. Francis Catholic Church on Thursday, May 29, 2008, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Stachnik serving as the celebrant.


Graveside services with burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Marquette on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at 12:30 p.m.
