Laurence R. Lasich, Jr.
MARQUETTE — Laurence R. Lasich, Jr., 80, died on May 11, 2008, at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette.
He was born January 15, 1928, in Marquette to Laurence R. and Lucile M. (Lupton) Lasich, Sr., and attended school in Marquette. He served in the U.S. Army from February 1946 to April 1948 and, following his honorable discharge, moved to Alaska, where he worked in law enforcement and commercial aviation. In 1963, he moved to Kent, Wash., where he concluded his career with Delta Airlines at Sea Tac, Wash. Laurence moved back to Marquette in 2007.
He is survived by his daughter, Jean L. Stanley of Anchorage, Alaska; two granddaughters; brothers, William G. Lasich of Marquette and Bernard J. Lasich of Grayling; and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy M. (Livinia) Lasich; and sisters, Geri Riegles McCall of Eugene, Ore., and Mary C. Henderson of Antigo, Wis.
Burial was made in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
