Joseph ‘Joey’ Moyle

Joseph was born in Ishpeming on May 10, 2003, the son of Jarett and Amy (Drummond) Moyle of Ishpeming. He attended the Christ the King preschool class and enjoyed watching SpongeBob SquarePants and Tom and Jerry. He also loved to ride his four-wheeler and snowmobile and enjoyed camping. Most recently, Joey became a proud “big brother” to Jack, who was born on March 4. Joey liked to play hide-and-seek with “papa” and was always full of laughter and life. Last week, Joey celebrated his 5th birthday on Saturday, May 10. He loved everyone and most of all loved having fun and getting treats.
Joseph is survived by his parents; an infant brother, Jack Moyle; a dog, Missy, and a cat, Frankster; maternal grandparents, Jack Drummond of Ishpeming and Gerri-Lynn Champion of Apache Junction, Ariz.; paternal grandparents, Maureen (Tom) Allen of Ishpeming; uncles, Brian (Rachael) Gray of Ishpeming, Aaron (Lisa) Gray of White Pine, Brian (Abby) Moyle of Howard City and Steve (Lori) Moyle of Ishpeming; step-aunt and uncle, Courtney (Devon) Johnson of Ishpeming and Kerri (Brian) Delongchamp; cousins, Caylie, Luke, Aaron, Ashley, Trevor, Cole, Taryn, Josey, Paige, Hanna, Austin, Allie, Brooke, Gunnar, Sophie, Lily and Luke; maternal great-grandmothers, Rita (Gerald) Champion, Ellen Drummond and Pearle Gray; paternal great-grandmothers, Shirley “Shirl” Harvala and Elaine Moyle; along with several special great-aunts and uncles.
Joey is preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Joseph Moyle; paternal great-grandfathers, Richard “Dinky” Harvala and Robert Moyle; maternal great-grandfathers, Loren Gray and Ed Drummond; and a great-uncle, Donald Drummond.
A funeral service will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church in west Ishpeming on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Ott officiating. Joey’s family will greet friends and relatives from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. A luncheon will follow the services. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don and John Duquette, Brian Gray, Brian and Steve Moyle and Paxton Palmer.
