POSTED: May 14, 2008

STEPHENSON — Michigan State Police troopers in Menominee County are continuing their investigation today into the murder of a Menominee Township man whose body was discovered at his residence Monday morning.

Troopers said the victim of the homicide was Mark A. Keller, 49, who lived along Bay de Noc Drive in Menominee Township. The incident was reported at 11:30 a.m. CDT Monday.

Police are withholding many details of the crime, including the means by which Keller was killed.

On Tuesday, Keller’s body was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital, where an autopsy was scheduled to be performed Tuesday.

State police detectives continued to work on the case Tuesday, assisted by officers from the Menominee City Police Department and deputies from Menominee and Marinette, Wis., county sheriff’s departments.

Personnel from the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory in Marquette worked to process evidence from the crime scene Monday and Tuesday.
