Blues whip Marenisco

MARQUETTE — Cory Peterman and Isaac Underwood led the Marquette American Legion Blues to a 13-3 win over visiting Marenisco Sunday in the second game of a baseball doubleheader at Haley Memorial Field.


No information was reported on the first game.


Peterman came on in relief in the second inning and shut Marenisco down, striking out seven while issuing no walks.


Underwood went 3-for-4 for manager Jack Reynolds’ Blues, driving in two runs and scoring three.


Alex Lucas added a two-run triple for the winners, who are next scheduled to host Escanaba at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
