Finlandia names volleyball coach

HOUGHTON — Finlandia University Athletic Director Chris Salani said he is pleased to announce that Mary Kaminski has been selected as the university’s new women’s volleyball coach.


“We ar excited that Mary has joined Finlandia’s athletic coaching staff,” Salani said. “She brings unprecidented caliber to our volleyball program.”


Kaminski has 20 years of experience in collegiate athletics. She has coached both women’s and men’s volleyball at the NCAA Division I and II schools and for USA Volleyball (USAV).


Most recently, Kaminski was the junior varsity girls volleyball coach at Calumet High School from 2004-08, achieving 124 wins and just one loss in that time.


She has also been training and coaching the Michigan Technological University men’s volleyball team since 2004.
