Spill closes harbor

The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating an oil spill reported this morning from the Great Lakes freighter shown anchored in the Lower Harbor . The Lower Harbor is closed to boating, including the boat launch at the Cinder Pond Marina, until further notice. The Coast Guard will be working with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality to contain and clean up the spill.
