Scouts flag-raising to honor veterans

MARQUETTE — In honor of Veterans Day, Marquette General Hospital has invited several Boy Scout troops to conduct a flag- raising ceremony at 12:15 p.m. Sunday at the flagpoles next to the hospital’s main entrance on College Avenue.


Twenty Scouts age 9 to 21 from Troop 302, Troop 309, Pack 321 and Venture Crew 356 will form a traditional color guard. A bugler will play while the flag is escorted to the base of the flagpole, and a ceremonial flag raising will follow.
