What's New at Peter White Public Library
I could not believe all of the interesting, new nonfiction “finds” that were on a cart that recently came upstairs from Technical Services. The items listed below are some of the eclectic mix that was on that cart.
May and June are busy with family events — graduations, births, weddings, etc. Four of the new books lend themselves to this topic.
Feeding Baby: Everyday Recipes for Healthy Infants and Toddlers by Joachim and Christine Splichal presents recipes for different stages in a young child’s life. Chapters cover age groups from infants who are 6 to 9 months old and learning how “solid” food tastes and feels through toddlers aged 3 years. Recipes for single items or entire special meals are enhanced with colorful photography and minimal text.

Unitarians hold rummage benefit
MARQUETTE — The Marquette Unitarian Universalist congregation will have a rummage and bake sale fund-raiser today and Saturday at 905 West Ave. in Marquette. The sale takes place through 3 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

ISHPEMING — The Ishpeming High School band will present a concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Peterson Auditorium.
Music from a variety of genres will be performed, and senior members will be honored.
Sierra Club meets at library
MARQUETTE — Mel Visser, author of “Cold, Clear, and Deadly” will discuss his book at the Wednesday open meeting of the Central Upper Peninsula Chapter of the Sierra Club at 7 p.m.
