Tampa Bay Buccaneers make signing of Northern Michigan’s Jace Daniels official

May 6, 2013 - Matt Wellens

MARQUETTE — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially announced the signing of five players on Monday afternoon, including former Northern Michigan University senior offensive tackle Jace Daniels on Monday afternoon.

To make room, the Bucs released five players to get down to the 90-man offseason roster limit.

Daniels told The Mining Journal via text message on Sunday he had signed with the Buccaneers after taking part in the team’s rookie mini-camp over the weekend on a tryout.

Daniels, of Escanaba, is attempting to become the first Wildcat to make an NFL roster since linebacker Mark Maddox did with the Arizona Cardinals in 200.
