NMU officially posts qualifications for its men’s basketball head coaching vacancy

March 15, 2013 - Matt Wellens

MARQUETTE — Northern Michigan University has posted the qualifications for its men’s basketball head coaching position.

You can read the posting here and apply if you feel you are qualified.

Here are some key points:

— Under minimum experience, the posting reads, “Demonstrated successful men's basketball coaching experience as a head coach or assistant coach at the NCAA Division I, II or III level or as a head coach at the junior college level.” Candidates must also have no prior involvement in NCAA major rules violations.

— Under desired qualifications, the posting asks for candidates to have a master’s degree and experience playing college basketball or something comparable.

Editor's note: Posting has been updated to reflect a change in the minimum experience requirements. NMU added, "or as a head coach at the junior college level."
