11/23/12 NMU hockey line charts: Wildcats vs. Nanooks

MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University hockey team squares off against the Alaska Nanooks tonight and tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. at the Berry Events Center in Marquette.

Below are the line charts for NMU and UA(F). For the Wildcats, it’s a wacky one.

Freshman forward Darren Nowick and sophomore forward Reed Seckel both return to the lineup from injuries, however, freshman forward Justin Rose remains out while senior forward Matt Thurber and junior forward Erik Higby are both suspended. Higby will be back for Saturday’s game. As for Thurber, who knows?

With all of those guys out, in addition to Brian Nugent, DJ Vandercook and Nate Taurence, sophomore defenseman Jake Baker will center the third line and freshman defenseman Ryan Trenz will play right wing on the second line. Sophomore Ryan Kesti is centering the fourth line. Gulp.
