10/27/12 NMU hockey line chart: Wildcats go for the split against Notre Dame

October 27, 2012 - Matt Wellens

Updated with Mike Johnson, not Steven Summerhays starting for Notre Dame

MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University hockey team continues its opening weekend of CCHA play, hosting Notre Dame in Game 2 of the season series at 7:35 p.m. tonight at the Berry Events Center.

The Wildcats fell to Notre Dame 5-2 in Game 1 of the series on Friday in Marquette, getting outshot 17-6 in the third period.

The result is a line up that was put in the blender and completely shaken up for Northern, at least at forward. Defenseman Kyle Follmer is back on the blue line with Scott Macaulay while DJ Vandercook and Robert Lindores replace Ryan Kesti and Justin Rose. We’ll also get a look at defenseman Ryan Trenz as a forward.
