10/26/12 NMU hockey line chart: Wildcats open CCHA play against Notre Dame in Marquette

MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University hockey team opens up CCHA play tonight against Notre Dame at 7:35 p.m. at the Berry Events Center.

It’s the final CCHA opener for the Wildcats and Fighting Irish, who are both ranked nationally in the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls.

For the Wildcats, junior Kory Kaunisto is out of the lineup with a shoulder injury that will keep him in the stands for a few weeks, head coach Walt Kyle disclosed during today’s Blue Line Club luncheon.

That shakes up the lines with senior Kyle Follmer moving from defense up to forward in a very similar set up to what the Wildcats used in their 2-1 win over Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday night.
