Last club (league): Castlegar Rebels (KIJHL) Major: Business entrepreneurship Hobbies: sports in general, hanging out with friends, working out Favorite NHL team: Vancouver Canucks Favorite NHL player: Mike Richards Strongest skill on the ice: Shot Weakest skill on the ice: Blocking shots What is your biggest superstition? “I don’t tell anyone my superstitions.” Do you actually have superstitions? “Yes, but I don’t tell anyone.” What is the best pregame meal ever? “Some sort of pasta and probably chicken breast.” In head coach Walt Kyle’s words: “Sat last year as a non qualifier. He paid his dues, did a great job in school. He comes in this year and with a little bit of experience in what its like to go to college, not necessarily play sports. He has very good speed, a real quick release on his shot, good vision on the ice. He’s going to have to adapt to being back playing on a team, being involved. He’s going to have to adjust to the speed of the game because he came from a real low level junior league. When he does, he’ll have a real opportunity to provide offense.”
