Wildcat hockey team gets one series on television

October 1, 2012 - Matt Wellens

MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University hockey team will only have one series broadcast on regional television this season, a February trip to Munn Ice Arena against Michigan State.

The Spartans will host the Wildcats on Big Ten Network at 6:35 p.m. on Feb. 15 and on FS Detroit at 7:35 p.m. on Feb. 16.

The Saturday game against the Spartans is part of “Hockey Day in Michigan.” Bowling Green State at Ferris State is the opening act at 5:05 p.m. on FSD.

There are no games being broadcast from the Berry Events Center this season. FS Detroit will be in town on Nov. 16 for the MHSAA 8-man football title game at the Superior Dome, however, the NMU hockey team is in Columbus to play the Buckeyes that weekend.

The complete CCHA broadcast schedule can be found here.
