NMU hockey season preview sneak peek

October 1, 2012 - Matt Wellens

MARQUETTE — Welcome to hockey season.

Today, the 2012-13 college hockey season — the last of the CCHA and how we’ve come to know the sport — picks up speed with Northern Michigan University hosting Brock University in an exhibition at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Berry Events Center.

NMU Sports Information Manager Calvin Larson has his 2012-13 season preview for the ’Cats up online.

You can also check out the 2012-13 season prospectus here.

The Mining Journal’s 2012-13 season preview begins this week. The “Fresh Faces” feature begins on Wednesday with sophomore transfer Nathan Taurence, followed by the seven eligible freshman. The full three-part Mining Journal season preview begins a week from today on Monday.

Note: Junior defenseman Luke Eibler and freshman goaltender Mathias Dahlstrom will not be featured this season because they are no eligible.

Below is the complete budget for the next two weeks of NMU hockey coverage from The Mining Journal, as well as what the CCHA has coming out this week.
