Transparency for all
To the Journal editor:
As a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) attorney, I am unsurprisingly eager to see the statute extended to both the governor’s office and the Legislature (“Whitmer should have included her office in FOIA change,” The Mining Journal, Feb. 5).
In the meantime, however, the governor should disclose at least the same type of information that the Legislature already makes freely available online–for example, calendars, budgets, office expenses, and salaries.
