Support carbon bill
To the Journal editor:
The bill that was introduced in the U.S. House to curb carbon dioxide pollution offers each of us an opportunity. We can all donate as much time to it as we feel like.
One way to help ensure its passage is to ask businesses to endorse it at EnergyInnovationAct.org. We can call and write our member of congress, U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman (R-Watersmeet).
He needs to hear from conservative leaning folks, especially those who do business in the 1st district. We need to show him that a carbon fee and dividend will preserve the Upper Peninsula’s natural beauty and create jobs and grow the economy.
We need respected individuals, with weight to throw around, to sit down with Rep. Bergman and explain all that our district has to lose from climate change, and all that we have to gain by transitioning to a renewable economy.
Please reach out to anyone who might fit that role and contact Marquette@CitizensClimateLobby.org
