Trump, GOP using fear as political ploy

To the Journal editor:

The GOP is the party of fear. That was the premise of an earlier letter by me. That is the premise of this letter. Some took exception to my earlier opinion. It’s an opinion. It’s my opinion. I stand by it.

I had a list of quotes from some of the “leading lights” of the Republican Party I intended to use to illustrate my point. It was a long list.Trust me. A “huuuge” list. Believe me. The longest list with the best quotes ever. But on further review I decided to just recommend watching replays of the Republican National Convention which recently graced our airwaves for four solid dreary, gloomy, dismal nights

The message echoed endlessly by the “leading lights” of the Republican Party was fear mongering at its most tasteless.

Please, if you didn’t, or couldn’t, or wouldn’t watch it live at least try to get through some of the main speakers presentations. Just Google it. Lots of video of the whole thing.

Their rants on almost anything you can think of to fear was amplified a thousand times. Refugees. Immigrants. LGBT. Liberals. Muslims. Blacks. Hillary Clinton. Anti-Second Amendment people. Anarchy in the streets. Rudy Giuliani’s rant bordered on insanity, in my opinion. The Donald’s speech was at times incoherent.

The point is that the GOP is fear mongering. The Donald and his equally vociferous cohorts with their Doom and Gloom outlook are a fear inducing visual and audio experience like no other I have seen in my lifetime. Spit flying. Veins bulging. Apoplectic. Their vision of what America is today is a lie. A fabrication dreamt up to invoke fear in the hearts and minds of the gullible.

Their vision of what they want to do to (not for, but to) America is terrifying. Donald Trump, no matter how you look at him, is in no way shape or form fit to be president of The United States of America. Really.

Anyone who believes Donald Trump should be representing the United States of America on the world stage should take a good long look at themselves in the mirror. Check for ethics. Check for morals. Party over country? Think about it.

Trump. Sad. Weak. Pathetic. Trust me on this.
