WILLIAM ZABOROWSKE

DENMARK, WI – William “Willie” Zaborowske, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 5th, 2017 at his home in Denmark, WI.

He was born February 13th, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan and was married to Lisa Surfus October 4th, 1980 in Michigan. Willie worked proudly for 30 years at the Nicolet paper mill in De Pere as a welder/pipefitter.

On his days off, Willie spent much of his time helping family and friends. He would travel near and far with his toolbelt, a cooler of beer, and his little canine sidekick Millie. Countless decks, roofs, and walls contain nails driven by Willie’s hammer.

Willie collected life stories like some men collect cars (which coincidentally, Willie also collected.) He was at his best with family and friends, sitting around a fire, spiritedly telling his tales.

Willie was a dedicated husband, a wonderful father, and a loving grandfather.

He is survived by his loving wife Lisa, his children, Richard (Brianne) Zaborowske and Holly (Alex Hanson) Zaborowske, his grandson, Guthrie Zaborowske and another grandchild on the way and his mother, Doris E. “Betty” (LaChance) Zaborowske. Willie is further survived by his brothers and sisters; Gerri Ann (Billy) Zaborowske-Kangas, Gerald (Michele) Zaborowske, Victoria (Bruce) Cram and John (Melanie) Zaborowske, brothers and sisters in law; Marvin Langohr, Paul (Joanne) Surfus, Tom (Christine) Surfus, Louis (Sheri) Surfus, father in law, Cecil (Donna Henderson) Surfus and his dog, Millie as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceding Willie in death are his father, Gerald, mother in law, Mary Surfus and sisters in law, Ann Langohr and Susie Surfus.

Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Road R, Denmark, from Noon until 3:00pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017. A memorial service for Willie will be celebrated at 3:00pm with Pastor Mike Huff officiating.
