LINDEE SUMMERLEE

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI – Lindee Johnson Summerlee, age 59, of Marquette Township, entered the next phase of life on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in the loving comforting care of her family.

She loved people, life, adventure, telling jokes, helping any one she could, animals, her g-babies, laughter, and friends. Lindee touched the heart of so many people with her generosity, compassion, energy, and contagious laugh. Her smile could light up the room. She was always one to go above and beyond for anyone in need. Lindee opened her home and heart to anyone and always made everyone feel welcome.

On July 28th 1958 she was introduced to all as Lindy Lee Johnson, the daughter of Jack and Aggie Johnson. She became known as the younger sister of Danny and Gary Johnson, and the world was changed forever. She traveled throughout her younger years as her dad was in the Air Force. Her favorite place to be growing up was in Kingsport, TN with her Grandma Grace.

Her heart and soul went into her job as a Head Start bus driver for AMCAB. She loved her coworkers and all the kids that she bonded with. Lindee had a passion for what she did and if you asked her she was still going back to work one day because she never gave up on her dreams.

Her greatest treasures remain here on earth, Her children- Arlyn Summerlee, Whittni Yurk, Buck Summerlee. Her g-babies; Babes (Cadence), Ellie Belly, and Xan-Man (Xander). Her dad Jack Johnson and brothers Gary and Danny Johnson. As well as countless nieces, nephews, and friends that were so close they were considered family.

There will be a celebration of life to remember Lindee on Saturday October 7th 2017 from 5-8pm at the Presque Isle Pavilion. Please come in bright colors cause you’re not coming to mourn her but to celebrate her life!! Please keep her alive through the good times, and every time you laugh or smile and have fun, she’s right there having fun with you!!!
