LLOYD CROSCHERE

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI – Lloyd Stanley “Mole” Croschere, Jr., age 61, of Marquette Township, entered eternal life Monday morning, July 17, 2017, at the Norlite Nursing Center.

Born May 15, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Lloyd S. and Elizabeth C. (King) Croschere, Sr., Lloyd was raised in Marquette Township and graduated from Marquette Senior High School, Class of 1974. He worked locally at Red Lobster as a kitchen assistant for five years before moving to Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. While in Oconto Falls, he was employed with Red Lobster in Green Bay for a number of years before employment with Calkins Midway, traveling and working at various fairs throughout Wisconsin with his son, daughter, mother-in-law and father-in-law. Following a stroke, Lloyd returned to Marquette in 2008, residing with his mother, Betty. He had been a resident at Norlite Nursing Center since May 5, 2017. In his younger years, Lloyd participated in baseball, playing on the Marquette Township team as a teenager. Later, he enjoyed sports, especially hockey, racing, football, and baseball. He loved to fish and enjoyed music, DVD’s, and CD’s.

Lloyd is survived by his children, Andrea (Dustin Hansen) Croschere and James Croschere both of Oconto Falls, WI; his grandson, Taylor Hansen; mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Croschere of Marquette Township; his siblings, Sherry (Norman) Pittsley of Ishpeming, Carol (Steven) Brugman of Oconto Falls, WI, Theresa (Robert) Garrow of Gwinn, and David Croschere of Ishpeming; his mother-in-law, Ruth Meverden of Oconto Falls, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd S. Croschere, Sr and father-in-law, Greg Meverden.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Fassbender Funeral Home on Thursday, July 20, beginning at 2:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm Thursday afternoon. Rev. Greg Heikkala will officiate. A reception will follow at the home of Betty Croschere, 2482 Norwood Street, Marquette.
