Arletta Jayne Paavola (Ring)
MANITOWOC, WI – Arletta Jayne Paavola (Ring) of Manitowoc, Wisconsin and formerly Harvey, Michigan entered into eternal life in the loving presence of her children and mother on May 31, 2017.
Arletta was born on May 4, 1961 to Eleanor Sicotte and Ronald Ring in Ishpeming, Michigan. She graduated from Northern Michigan University with a nursing degree and worked at DJ Jacobetti Home for Veterans until she relocated to Manitowoc, Wisconsin in the year 2000.
Arletta was a loving mother and friend. She was a talented gardener and she loved to share her knowledge with anyone in her presence. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren in Michigan, fishing with friends, and being in nature. Arletta had a nurturing spirit and was always ready to help anyone in need. She is missed always in the hearts of her loved ones.
Arletta is survived by her children, Eric (Gretchen), Adam, and Nina. Former husband and lifelong friend Paul Paavola. Mother Eleanor Sicotte, brothers Jack (Kathy) Korhonen, Mark (Jeri) Brisson, Joseph Ring, and sister-in- law Marie Duvall. Nieces and nephews Derryck and JR Korhonen, Louella and Eleanor Ring, Andrew, Jesse, and Daniel Brisson, and her grand- children Eric and Simon Paavola. As well as many grand nieces, nephews and friends.
Arletta was preceeded in death by father Ronald Ring, and grandparents James and Louella Sicotte.
The funeral will be Friday, June 23 beginning at 3 pm with a reception to follow at St. Louis the King Catholic Church in Harvey, Michigan. Father Glenn Theoret will officiate the ceremony.
