Ronald P. Blemberg
SUN CITY WEST, AZ — Ronald P. Blemberg, 86, of Sun City West, AZ died peacefully Saturday morning, April 29th, with his devoted wife at his side.
Ron was born to John F. and Elizabeth (VanPaar) Blemberg in Marquette, Michigan, September 1, 1930, the youngest of his 15 siblings. He was a graduate of Bishop Baraga High School and a member of St. Peters Cathedral.
Ron was an army veteran of the Korean War. He married Kathleen O’Neill on October 27, 1951. Ron worked at Lakeshore in Marquette, and later worked for and retired from Paper Converting Company, in Green Bay, WI. Ron loved his wife and three sons foremost and took delight in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his wife, Kathleen (O’Neill) Blemberg, his three sons Ronald (Sue), Robert (Shirley/Chris), and Mark (Julie). He is further survived by nine grandchildren, and 16 great- grandchildren. Ron is also survived by his sister Margaret (William) Nystom of Sun City, AZ and many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his brothers: John-“Yuno”, Joseph, Peter, Frank, and Alphonse Blemberg and Edward and George Voet. Ron’s deceased sisters are Marie Hokenson, Evangeline, Rosewall, Leona Kevern, Frilda Bertrand, Ann Cook and Jeanette Pascoe.
A Memorial service will be held Friday, May 5th at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City West, AZ.
