Darryl ‘Sluggo’ Doucette

MUNISING, MI – Darryl “Sluggo” Doucette, age 72, of Munising, died on Monday afternoon, May 8, 2017 at the Tendercare Health Center in Munising. He was born on June 9, 1944 in Munising, Michigan to the late Lloyd “Andy” and Elsie (Campbell) Doucette. Darryl grew up in Munising on the West End and then Tannery Hill so he attended both Lincoln and Washington Schools. He worked in Wisconsin for a while when he was younger and will always be remembered for his smile and ability to talk his way in or out of a situation.

Darryl is survived by his brother and sisters-in-law – Gary and Beverly Doucette and Pam Doucette; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister – Dona (Paul “Pee Wee”) Morin and brothers – Clyde “Trap” Doucette, Sheldon “Beaver” Doucette, and Neil “Nug” (Marge) Doucette.

Graveside services will be held at the Serenity Pines Cemetery in AuTrain on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Father Chris Gardiner will conduct the committal prayers.
