Janet Edith (Wallace) Borrett

LAUREL, MT – Janet Edith (Wallace) Borrett was born in Marquette, Michigan on August 11, 1940 to Richard and Beatrice Wallace and immediately began to bring joy to all who knew her. Her early years were spent on a farm where she was her father’s right hand man. She grew to become a beautiful young lady with a charming disposition. She graduated from Graveraet High School in 1959. In June of 1960, she met her lifetime love, Allan Borrett, and they were married the following February.

Their adventures together took them all over the United States. Janet worked alongside her husband for many years in Christian ministry.

In 2014, Janet and Allan retired and moved to Laurel, Montana. Janet was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family and prayed for them continually. She was a great friend and had a wonderful smile for everyone she met. The banner cry of her life was “God is always faithful.” On March 11 after a courageous battle with cancer, Janet went peacefully to her heavenly home surrounded by her beloved family.

Survivors include her husband and best friend Allan, children Gwendolyn (Jeff) Parkman, David (Michelle) Borrett, Brenda (Jeff) Sonnett; grandchildren Jason, Zachary, Mckenna, Ellen, Ben, Joshua, Aaron, Jefferson; sisters Carol Schattler and Audrey Meacham; brothers Roger and Gary Starrine and many other loving extended family members.

A memorial service will be held at Laurel Baptist Church on Saturday, March 18, at 2:00 in the afternoon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship of the North Central Area, P.O. Box 477, Gwinn, MI 49841.
