Father Marquette students raise funds for service project

Pictured above, the Father Marquette eighth-grade students recently participated in a service project called “Project Sawbuck.” Based on the parable of the three servants and their coins, the students’ goal of the project and the task of the students, was to use their time, talents and treasure to make their seed money ($10) and have it grow over the course of eight weeks. The students worked in groups on activities such as selling tickets for Zipline adventures, bake sales, pizza and root beer floats sales. Collectively they raised $736. This was donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
