BLP donates to Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul

The Marquette Board of Light and Power’s fifth annual Food Pantry Charity Hockey Game on March 1 at Lakeview Arena was the most successful ever thanks to donations by employees, family members and the public. The Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul food pantries each received $133 through a 50/50 raffle and a $5 donation per player, as well as 325 pounds of donated canned goods and boxed food items that were divided equally between the two. New this year was a $75 gift card donated by the Employee Pop Fund. For each canned good or boxed food item donated participants received a ticket for the gift card drawing.
