Subaru, Fox donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters

The Subaru Share the Love Event continues to support local and national charities and non-profit organizations. On April 12, Subaru, along with Fox Marquette, donated a check worth more than $18,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Marquette and Alger counties. Marty Rose, the brand manager at Fox Marquette said, “This is a spectacular program. Subaru has been awesome and this promotion really shows what they really want to do for the communities.” A portion of sales for every new Subaru sold or leased between Nov. 17 and Jan. 3 is donated to charities, and each year, Fox Marquette chooses one local organization as a recipient. Jayne Letts, the executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters said, “This is tremendous. We’ve never had anything like this before and it’s just so great to feel such great community support. The money will go towards matching more kids in Marquette County. We have about 30 kids who are waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister. So, this will be used for recruitment and for program costs to help get the kids matched.”
