The jedi academy

Above, Rylan Millard, 9, of Marquette, left, and Brogan Premeau, 7, of K.I. Sawyer, make droids out of things like marshmallows, doughnut holes and pretzels during the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum’s “Jedi Academy” Thursday. A “Star Wars” theme filled the museum as youngsters dressed up as characters from the movies and took part in fun activities as part of the Second Thursday Creativity Series. (Journal photo by Christie Bleck) At right, Harry Kinney, 8, of Marquette poses as Kylo Ren with Millard as Darth Vader. Below left, Grant Kretovic, 1, of Skandia poses for a photo dressed as Yoda. Below right, Kip Hartman stands ominously as Darth Vader with his sons Oliver, 4, and Kiplin, 7. (Journal photos by Justin Marietti)
