The Marquette Lions Club sponsored the Lions International Peace Poster contest at Father Marquette Middle School this year. The theme was “A Celebration of Peace.” Pictured is local winner, Maria Millado. Her poster will now go on to further judging at the District level and if she wins there, on to International.
Kohl’s volunteers, from left: Ali Killmar, Store Manager, Mary Lahaye, Colleen Clark, Pam Clark and Carolyn Nummela, assisted at Vango’s Pizza Buffet Night Benefiting Marquette Junior Hockey. For the volunteers being at the event, Marquette Junior Hockey will receive a $1,500 grant from Kohl’s corporation for the hockey program.
Kohl’s Volunteers assisted at PrimeTime Reading, which occurs on Saturday mornings at the Peter White Public Library. The library will receive a $1,500 grant from Kohl’s Corporation for the volunteers being there, during the month of the Volunteer Program’s 15th Anniversary.
Bay Cliff Health Camp recently accepted a $1,000 donation from We Energies Foundation in support of the Bay Cliff 2016 Campership Appeal/Summer Program.
