Roll-over crash leaves 1 injured

MARQUETTE — A 27-year-old woman from Amasa was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a one-vehicle personal injury crash occurred in Crystal Falls around 4 p.m. CT Wednesday.

Police investigation determined the woman’s vehicle was traveling eastbound on U.S. 2 near Fire Tower Road in Crystal Falls when the driver crossed the center line and nearly struck a westbound vehicle head-on.

The Amasa woman who was driving the eastbound vehicle then “over corrected,” losing control and driving off the roadway, police said. The vehicle then rolled over multiple times, ejecting the driver.

She was transported to Aspirus Hospital Iron River by ambulance. Police said she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office and Asprus Ambulance assisted at the scene of the crash.
