MARQUETTE — “Wordsworth and the Age of English Romanticism” a symposium, will be presented at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lydia Olson Library Lounge at Northern Michigan University. Speakers will include Dr.’s Hugh and Maureen Andrews, Dr. Leonard Heldreth, Shelia Johnson, and Dr. Alan Rose, all of the NMU Department of English. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served. The symposium will be sponsored by the English department and Sigma Tau Delta English honor society.

NEGAUNEE — It will be “Come As You Are” night tonight with dress optional at the Negaunee Youth Center, which will be open at 7 o’clock, Director Jack Taylor said Tuesday. The center also will be open from 8 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Chaperones for activities during the week will be provided by the Negaunee Teachers Club. Last week a total of 501 youngsters were present at activities held Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Members of the Negaunee Women’s Club and their husbands serving as chaperones included Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Terres and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Borlace.
