Marquette — Jeff Juntti is on a roll. For the second week in a row the Marquette man set a course record at the Tuesday evening bicycle time trials held here. Juntti covered the 12.5-mile course, located on County Road 553 near County Road 480 in a time of 27 minutes and 51 seconds. Steve Wachter placed second in the men’s division with a 30:15 effort while Alex Trout came in third with a 30:25 clocking. Placing fourth and fifth, respectively, were Paul Han Nuksela (31.2) and Jim Rayburn (31:29). Tracy Donahue of Marquette captured the women’s title for the seventh time this seasaon. Her time of 32:26 beat Sue Canon (34.04) and Jenny Cihak (35:10). A total of 31 cyclists took part in the time trails.

Michigamme — Lake Michigamme has been praised by many people. Its scenery, camp sites, beach and islands all are attractive, but one picture that will long be remembered is that produced by Miss Jane White, of Kansas City, who is spending the summer at Chatonka. Miss White has enjoyed her visit here and has participated in all the sports offered at camp, and one evening while fishing on Lake Michigamme she caught a fish weighting 15 1-2 pounds.
