MARQUETTE – Wendy’s of Marquette Inc. will expand its seating capacity to allow for the addition of a SuperBar, an all-you-can-eat hot and cold food buffet. The renovation will cost about $25,000 and is expected to be installed by April. The Marquette restaurant now seats 80 patrons, with room for about 30 more to be added, according to manager Richard Merrill. The SuperBar includes Wendy’s Garden Spot salad bar, popular Mexican items such as tacos, nachos, tortillas and burritos, and Italian-style pasta and sauces. Dessert is also included in the SuperBar. Chocolate and butterscotch pudding will be available, as well a variety of fresh fruit. Wendy’s of Marquette Inc. has been operating for six years at the Marquette Mall.

ISHPEMING – Ishpeming radio fans, who have been interested in the “phone” experiment being conducted every noon through the amateur station maintained by Early Bradley and Joseph Lessard, will be given an interesting demonstration of their ability. The operators have a number of surprise tests. Out-of-town residents hearing the tests will favor the Ishpeming amateurs if they will write Joseph J. Martin, Ishpeming post office, and report how the numbers were received.
