UPHS blood center seeks donors
MARQUETTE — The UP Health System Regional Blood Center is experiencing a need for A-positive, O-positive, A-negative, O-negative and B-positive blood types. Officials ask anyone who meets the following requirements to consider giving blood at one of the Upper Peninsula locations: Hancock, Marquette, Escanaba or Sault Ste. Marie.
Donors must be healthy, hydrated, at least 110 pounds and at least 17 years old. Eight weeks must have passed since the donor’s last visit. A picture ID is required and the donor must eat two hours before donating.
