UPSET arrests 3 on drug charges

MARQUETTE — Three people from Delta County were arrested after Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team detectives conducted an investigation regarding the sale and distribution of crystal methamphetamine.

Taylor Ann Shanahan, 24 and Glen Thomas Lavance, 40, were arrested after detectives found the two people were involved in the sale and distribution of crystal meth. Zachary Taylor Tryan, 27, was also arrested for probation violation and drug-related charges, according to an UPSET press release.

All three suspects were lodged in the Delta County Jail, officials said.

Shanahan and Lavance were arraigned Tuesday in 94th District Court of Delta County. Shanahan faces a felony charge for the delivery of meth while Lavance faces felony charges for the delivery of meth and maintaining a drug house, police said. Both remain loded at the Delta County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Tryan was released on a $1,000 cash bond Tuesday.

Officers from Escanaba Public Safety Department assisted UPSET with the investigation, police said.
